Harbortowne was incorporated in 2001, with the final home completed in 2015. Harbortowne subdivision is outside of the Smithville city limits. As such, sewer rates are a set flat rate, determined by the city, and we do not pay the city tax. Our subdivision is governed by a board of three trustees, elected yearly. Annual assessments are used to maintain common ground, electric service, and support all financial requirements.
In 2020, United Fiber brought fiber optic high speed internet into our subdivision. Speed Matters. Multiple studies have shown that broadband increases your home value by 7% and leads to quick sales.
